Musky in the net today! I've had a good number of follows the past few evenings I went out even with the amount of rain we've had.
I have been kayak fishing for a while now, paddling and fishing is fun. However, lots of the spots I would like to fish are just not that great to paddle and cover alot of water on. I ended up picking up a bass pro pond prowler II (sundolphin sportsman). Anxious to get it in the water, for now will just be a 55lb trolling motor and will add a small 5hp later on. it is 4x10 in size and extremely stable. I just need to make a casting deck, move over the Humminbird and add some extras to it. The kid is ready as well

That is a monster!
How close are you to water, that you’re fishing so often?
Dad, uncle and myself are heading to lake heideckie Sunday. Trolling for musky and probably smallmouth fishing too.
Do you have a trolling motor for it?
I may have one to sell
edit.
just realized youre in texas.
that'd make it difficult.
Man I always see those things for sale on CL and the like.
IMO a 12’-14’ Jon boat is a better option. It’ll handle a little bigger water should you want to take it somewhere and you can put a decent motor on it too. Still usable rowing or with a trolling motor, fits in a pickup bed.
A ton of fishing boats heading to the northwoods on Saturday morning. Last year at this time most of the lakes were iced over still. Wide open this year. Hopefully that means better fishing with the warmer water.
2 Pre-spawn Hogs I caught this afternoon! Got the 4.25lbs first and then 3 casts later hooked up with the a 6lber also caught a good number in the 2-3lb range!
Too bad I didn't have the gopro on...
