They are all independent of each other. No need to see Season 2 to understand Season 3.

I can't even remember what I had for breakfast, let alone the last episode of a lackluster season from August of 2015



Season 2 wasn't inherently bad, it just wasn't very good in comparison to Season 1, which set the benchmark. Out of all the actors in that season Colin Farrell did do a good job with what he was handed. It also helped Kelly Reilly get into mainstream television in the US, eventually leading to Yellowstone.
