I was going to throw out Bristol Tap, but they announced they were closing.

My father in law used to work for Catepillar in Montgomery. When we first moved to Yorkville he raved about the Bristol Tap. We went a few times, I mean it was a decent but I never thought it was that great. I'm guessing it's a case of "it used to be better back in the day" or it was a "hey guys lets go to the Tap after work and toss a few back" and it was probably the beer that made the burgers better.

I just remembered this place in MI

I used to have a buddy out there and he raved and raved about it for years as well, though Millers actually delivered! If you're ever near Dearborn/Detroit area, check it out, it's a good burger!

I ate there a few times. I think it was the well-season grill that they used. After being on motorcycles all day in the hot sun any burger that wasn't raw would have been a blue-ribbon one ?

The key factor is (with Covid shutting most places down) find out where these places buy their meat from.
Most are from Wholesale/Gourmet meat places that wont/dont sell to the Public...with Covid,they now will sell & have home delivery..shipped frozen in a dry ice cooler.Sooo,I have had many deliveries from these places can add my own condiments..arrives next day,but a lil pricey--worth it

Small Cheval is my go to when I am in the city and just want something quick and easy.

Been doing Kumas delivery out in the (schaumburg)burbs and they are on point all the time.

Assembly in Hoffman was my favorite to go in person but they couldn't get delivery figured out.

Linz Meats is amazing. When COVID hit, Hugo’s was selling filets at rock bottom prices so I grabbed a bunch. They were from Linz.

They are the supplier of many of the big steakhouses in the city. I order from them. Their steakhouse burger is awesome and of course the cuts of steak.

Been a while since I been to Kumas, and I live near the Belmont one., I'll put it on the list.

There's a Kuma's right next to my work in Libertyville too. I've been meaning to check it out. I have never been.

Village Squire is another good burger as is the Lucky Monk.
