Locally, Nick’s Tavern in Lemont had a fabulous big burger. It’s been a while that I have gone there.
We found a place near my son in Kenosha called the Milwaukee Burger co. This is there monstrosity called “The defibrillator”. I have ordered twice and lived to tell about it. cheese curds, fried bacon...I give my wife the cheese curds because I am lactose intolerant.

This is good to know... I've been meaning to tryNicks Tavern has another location in my town, Cedar Lake IN. The burgs and tots are fantastic.
My wife got the Buffalo chicken wrap or some shit. It was straight Buffalo sauce and she couldn’t eat it because it was hot as hell. I’m just going to town on my cheeseburger in heaven. This is good to know... I've been meaning to try

Decent cheese curds too.
Never had their burgers, its a polish stand so I get a polish lol. Cant go wrong with their polish'sMy two favorites. Redamaks. What sets them apart is they melt real velveeta cheese on it.
The other place is good ol Maxwell street. But the one on 31st only, right by Sox park. Get a double, just two thin patties, grilled onions and mustard. While your here though, order a polish it’s the best.
Idk about others but I can’t do raw onion on a burger. Fuckin overwhelms the whole thing.

I agree and was also going to say the cheese curds are solid as well
Culvers is a decent burger but sometimes it's just waaaayyyy too greasy for me. Sonic is also a solid burger. I can get down with some Red Robin too.
Bulldogs in Wauconda was the best burger place in IL for like 2-2.5 years then when down the shitter quick.
