With the weather being so nice today I was able to prep my bike for the season and ride a few miles on the Lakefront Trail during lunch.

Built this setup probably two years ago now. Pure Keirin Track Pro frame w/ carbon fork, H+Son wheelset, SRAM crank, ect.

Been really happy with it, currently setup as a single speed.

I got in one walk this afternoon. I accidentally finished/saved the walk when I stopped to sit for a few minute at my turn-around point. Kind of pissed me off since I was going to save it as a course so I could try to improve on my time/speed. I'll have to go do it again.

You know how to improve that time, its a new thing I just heard of ;) I need to get out and walk more at lunch for sure to get me out of the house.

Joined a gym 3 minutes from my house. Place mostly focuses on lifting which is great. On day 4 of getting up at 6am to go workout which I never thought I would or could do. Just wasn't making it happen myself with 2 kids and work running late a lot.

That's why I wake up at 4am. Workout, sauna, make breakfast, get one of the kids up and ready, take the dog for a walk, get myself ready, pack lunch, load up kids into truck, drop at daycare and then head to work. It's a chaotic morning, but it works. As after getting my oldest down for bed anywhere from 8-9pm, it's then my bedtime.

No jogging for me. Knees canā€™t take it. Thatā€™s why I do the long bicycle rides.

Find a cheap used one, nice and low impact.
Well, and I donā€™t have the space for it either. I was going to get a small Training stand for the bicycle for over the winter, but too much crap in the house.

Iā€™ve used the elliptical for years as both warm up and cardio when I was going to the gym. It never did much for me. Plus, you donā€™t go anywhere, like being on a treadmill.

I like scenery changes as I go. Helps me test my memory where things are, like benches, bathrooms, and water fountains. Like, ā€œit should be ā€˜xā€™ many feet.ā€ And there it is! Sad, but true.

Well I walk our husky mix puppy.. or more like I attach her to my belt and she pulls me around since itā€™s a natural instinct for her as a sled dog. she enjoys it. Usually that is 15-20 mins a day.

Now that itā€™s warm out I have my poverty bicycles. Itā€™s Just a fixed gear that I think was part of an old cheap e-bike kit my neighbor sold to me for $50 and a crazy heavy Schwin cruiser bike from the mid 70ā€™s that I restored and have it setup to hold a fishing rod. I ride to various ponds and stuff.

All I have is my 2015 Trek 7.3 FX. Has about 6000 miles on it, and a bunch of chineseum add on bits (headlight/battery, tail light, etc). It's done me remarkably well. Normal wear parts (tires/tubes, brake pads, chain), slapped on a new saddle, and last season swapped out the pedals for combination ones (one side flat, the other for clips).

The only thing I wish it had were disc brakes instead. Those were only available on the next model up, which was way out of my budget. They can do retrofits on the disc brakes, but mine is one year too old to accept them.

I haven't been out that way yet, but it is on my list. Looks great!

I have a trip in early June out to Yosemite and that will be their first exposure to doing some great hiking and taking in amazing views.
Oh that will be fun for sure .

Time to recover the muscles then take kids hiking ?

Jimy Bilmo Jimbo how long does it take your infrared sauna to get to 150?

Mine has never gotten there, it has only gotten to like 142-143 degrees.
It's usually at 144 after 45-50 mins. Then it'll peg to 150-151 before the thermostat cuts it out and drops her back down to 144-145 around an hour and fifteen or so.
