Two walks, a bicycle ride, and I showered today. I’m calling that a triathlon.

Ya know, there is another playground just east of where you might be. There’s this bridge, over a four lane road, probably looks familiar. That turns into a path, take it up the “T” and go left. Can’t miss it.Finally pulled the trigger on a bike and picked it up yesterday. It’s a used Fuji Traverse 1.7 but who cares. Good price and gets me moving.
My 4 year old saw it in the garage and we were doing things outside and she just wanted to ride her bike with me on mine for a little bit. Ended up going to the park closest to the house where she proceeded to slide down a slide that was wet and got soaked and didn’t want to ride her bike back home. Guess who had to carry hers and push his?Gotta get the workout however you can I guess.

You talking about Camelot park or the one near Greenbrook Elementary? She called Camelot park the big park and the one we were at the litte park.Ya know, there is another playground just east of where you might be. …. and yes, I’m 100% aware that you already knew this![]()
The one at Greenbrook. For the most part it’s an easy ride. Just the hill going up to the school, then on the way back the hill before the bridge over County Farm. Basically going down into a bowl and back up again. I’d start on the crushed limestone before street riding. You talking about Camelot park or the one near Greenbrook Elementary? Hell it had been at least a decade if not more since I rode a bike so Im not even going on it until I feel comfortable on the street.

Cause it’s really close to you, and not very far. I was going to say also ride around Mallard Lake, but there’s going to be a LOT of foot traffic to avoid. Swings and playsets would be more fun for your daughterMight have to ride it myself just to see. By street I meant side streets and or just neighborhood, but why recommend the trail? I know its not a hardcore trail I am just curious.
Did you army trail from the river back to the PP?
Yes sirDid you army trail from the river back to the PP?
You are a much braver man than me.Yes sir
Jesus. H. Christ I did this myself and I am way too out of shape.Cause it’s really close to you, and not very far. I was going to say also ride around Mallard Lake, but there’s going to be a LOT of foot traffic to avoid. Swings and playsets would be more fun for your daughter![]()
Dude, I love having a slight tailwind and going west into Hawk Hollow... that first 1/2-3/4 mile is all slightly downhill. With minimal effort I'll average like 18mph. Then you hit that 3-4% grade hill and crap yourself.Jesus. H. Christ I did this myself and I am way too out of shape. My goal is to not have my legs feel like they are on fire and my heart rate not at 150+ at peak.
The downhills and parts of the ride instantly took me back 26+ years and remembered my childhood though. So that was a kick.
Proof I actually rode a bike.

So I quoted the wrong one I went east to the park near the school to see if my daughter could do it and fuck no she can’t.Dude, I love having a slight tailwind and going west into Hawk Hollow... that first 1/2-3/4 mile is all slightly downhill. Oh I understood where you went. I was just commenting on the direction you were looking for the photo. So I quoted the wrong one I went east to the park near the school to see if my daughter could do it and fuck no she can’t.I stopped multiple times for water and to let my heart rate settle down and she was riding into the grass on a super slight downhill cause she cannot comprehend pedal brakes yet. So she did that too slow herself down and stop. Then only wanted to ride super slow which left me almost falling off and pushing my bike the rest of the way.
We will all get there. Just not today.
Something else... if you do go into Mallard lake, which is a nice downhill twisty path, and find you don't want to ride back up that part, take the access road over to Arlington Dr. Then ride the street to the school. From the parking lot to the peak of the trail is like 150', so you can quickly walk the bike up it.So I quoted the wrong one I went east to the park near the school to see if my daughter could do it and fuck no she can’t.I stopped multiple times for water and to let my heart rate settle down and she was riding into the grass on a super slight downhill cause she cannot comprehend pedal brakes yet. Good to know it spills out there. I know that neighborhood pretty good. Was a lifeguard at the pool on Santa Anita and lived in the townhouses near Arlington drive and Lake.Something else... if you do go into Mallard lake, which is a nice downhill twisty path, and find you don't want to ride back up that part, take the access road over to Arlington Dr. Then ride the street to the school. You can continue past the school, through heritage park and up to Sterns/Greenbrook. But the last few times I did it was pretty rough. Asphalt had a lot of bumps and pot holes.Good to know it spills out there. I know that neighborhood pretty good.
