Damn them pictures look like a mess. How do you tell what install height is on all of them or how do they get that far out of whack. Some being way shorter or taller?

Also I don't have a clue what is the most you could shim the spring height to compensate in getting them all to the same height? Im sure them heads are beyond saving even if they have new guides?

I had a set like this, and the machine shop essentially just told me it wasn't worth it. So they were thrown away.

From what I can tell, they did a bad job installing the seats. But I'm not real sure either. It could be goofy valve lengths too.

how in the fuck did it go unchecked like that? or not noticeable until some wear and tear and broke in a bit with them springs and locks and valves all being seated.

just kind of shocking to me how it got to that extent without noticing during installation.

forgive the ignorance this seems pretty obvious them heads were fucked.

Shimming the springs won't affect valve tip height...just the spring's installed height/preload/seat pressure.
