Agreed so the I dont see how any of this is really shocking. Its what big pushrod engines do.

Yes it may not be off the shelf parts but 7.0+ ci GM combos Id be willing to bet with equal head flow, cam specs, compression, and cubes has produced the same results for what like a decade? Albeit this take far less custom work and therefore drives down the cost.

Welcome to technology, trickle down engineering, and modern design.

Gale banks is supposed to be doing a couple different turbo setups with it.
I wanna see what the 3.8 whipple does to a 100% stock Tremor. Lets see diesel like torque from a 7.3 with a 3.8 whipple.

Modern unopened engines have ruined us all. Just throw boost at it and send it. Then see what itll take.

Agree though, the recent gassers have been solid, if a bit underwhelming

I just wanted to point this out here....this is a local guy's car. It's a zo6 Vette with a max effort NA build. The 427 was resleeved to 447, solid roller cam, etc...

This is through a 4l80e on a mustang Dyno. Max power was 605 at 7100 rpms. You can see how torque was dropping off as well.

Engine Masters just did a 1000hp BBC NA build. Most was off the shelf parts, except for the domed pistons. Wasn’t cheap though...Dart Aluminum tall deck 578(?). I think they ran 13 or 14:1, big ole flat roller cam, but off the shelf ~90cc Dart heads, off the shelf Victor single plane, and a Holley 1050. They ran some special shaft rockers that mounted on a rail or something, never seen it before. But titanium intake valves and inconel exhaust valves. Made peak at 7200 or so, and JUST made it over the 1000 mark after some tuning. I think the were also running C16. And weirdly running a timing belt, not a chain for longevity
