From what I heard they are actively involved in the 2025 engine regulation meetings with the FIAThey've (VAG) have been teasing it for years, so until I see something definitive that they're in development, or even testing, I'm not going think much about it.
I'd like to see BMW and Cosworth come back as engine suppliers though. Heck, even bring Toyota back into the fray. We need more diversity of engine suppliers, and for that I think the FIA would need to relax the cost caps and tight restrictions on engines.
