IDK, the only visible mods are some suspension work and exhaust, I have a hard time believing that would void the warranty.

I use to work at a Ford dealer. If they want to be dicks about it, they can void it for that. I had a buddy with a Z28 a few years back blow his trans while the car had plenty of warranty left. The dealer and warranty company wouldn't honor it because the tires were not stock. They said they were stickier tires then what was offered on the car. They were I believe Hankooks

No one says shit in the thread where in the 5th gen Camaro runs 11's with spray and a few things (one would probably also call that a 16 year old girls car). You can argue the V6 gets better gas mileage (lol not with those 4.10s?) and has a warranty (not with those mods). Its sad when I have to compare new Fords to stuff made in 1998 with the same power.

They have a 6 speed auto. Even with a 4.11 gear it's still only spinning at 2500 rpm. My car is higher then that at 70....almost 3k.

V6 Mustang = 3.7L
V8 LS1 = 5.7L

That is why it is impressive. Yes, it's not comparing similar technologies. I think it's just amazing that they can squeeze much more power out of the smaller displacement motors.

Have you seen the review of the 2005 mustang GT on top gear? Are you stupid? They LOVE the car and think its extremely cool, they stated nothing bad but the obvious (primitive rear suspension and not Euro level interior)

Richard Hammond OWNS mustangs. Noone owns a GTO or CV8, nor did they say they would own one, they just say it was a good drift machine and handled well 'for what it was' essentially... what point are you trying to make with this???

4:40 in is when it starts

continues into this vid

Here's the LS1 Monaro review since he is swinging so hard:

Oh shit, you hear that, the FIRST THING out of Jeremy Clarksons mouth:

"Its not the most elegant car in the world, nor is it the most complicated"

"Its far from the most sophisticated engine in the known universe"

but at the end, they say they like it as well.

So swing this past me again, what point were you trying to make with this, aside from showing your ignorance?

I will be the last to Nissan nutswing but didn't they have a 300HP 3.5 V6 in like 2002? I'm just saying 300HP is 300HP imo. Id hope in 13 years with technology they can make the same power as a V8 in a V6. Inside a similar car.

"300HP is 300HP" is far from cut and dry IMO...

Car Platforms, car weight, power bands, torque #'s and torque curves all can drastically impact a "300HP" cars performance. You can make a lot or a little out of 300hp.

a 13.17 with very little done on an essentially brand new small displacement V-6 in a fairly heavy car is very impressive IMO. That is the point I feel that is being made with the original post of this thread.

on a side note,

Most Jap. 'performance' Motors as of early 2000's were rated at like "286" or whatever due to Japanese legislation. Hence why the R32-33-34 Skylines, the Evo 6-7-8-9, RX7, toyota supra, etc are all rated at about "286"

Let not forget the episode where they put the Lotus Elise against the GT mustang saying how the mustang has 100 more hp and its even slower around a tight track than a real horse. Top gear has done their share of stang bashing.

Im still not worried about this v6 mustang, its still more $ than an LS1 f-body and w similar mods its still slower, if your into shit like options and technology nobody else in the world but ford has, and keycode door locks, the mustang is better. And I trust a evolved pushrod engine for racing over one of fords first dohc v6's anyday.

Ford is already banking the VAST majority on its fleet sales to say otherwise (Not racing, but just in general)

There are enough people on this forum to where we can get some 100% stock ass junk and race them.
GTO vs 11' Mustang GT
GTO vs 11' Mustang V6
Then:
Panda Z06 vs All
GTOface vs Jason
