Screw it. Boomba can ordered. In natural aluminum as well. Should really pop. Paid a couple extra bucks for UPS shipping this time vs usps, cuz the last couple times ive gotten stuff thru usps the boxes were so beat to shit by time I got them. And of course who could forget the time my sound symposer delete was just flat out stolen right out of the box Screw you usps.

Forum of full of newbies and idiots. There are so many who spend money on the most Ricerish of things.

The "crawl" mode conversations both piss me off and have me rolling at the same time. People thinking its some kind of special feature that the ST can idle along in 1st gear without any throttle input. Lulz. All along its just the IAC circuit attempting to keep the engine running.

Then again, the car is technically a Sport Compact and as such tends to attract the ricer crowd. Most recent example is the guy who's "mod" was to eliminate both the muffler and resonator. So his car is still running the tiny bottle necked DP, and the 2" exhaust. But is now loud as hell and no faster. He said "Best $100 I ever spent". Really? Rednecks and Ricers are cut from the same cloth.

Well lookee what just arrived.

This thing is a beautiful piece of work and very well constructed. All the edges smooth and rounded. No corner cut. Cant wait to get this thing in the car. Tho I really wanna try and get it in for the harness recall first, since this can will be sitting right where they need to do their work. Just got my gto semi sorted out this week, changed oil, fixed an oil leak, and flushed out/replaced rear diff fluid, so hopefully next week I can try and get the ST in sometime for the recall work.

Yeah, I can understand the need to sort the cars out. I just ripped the Fan Relay harness out of the TransAm because it needs to be redone.

I tried to hold on for the RS, but the tires on the Focus are just at their limits. I ordered a set of 245/40 Michelin PSS tires for the ST. The stock tires are just too far gone to be safe on anymore.

This follows up considering I just spent about $820 with Founders Performance for the TransAm. I bought their TQ Arm, LCA relocation brackets, and Strut mounts with spherical bearings, and a set of Vogtland linear rate lowering springs. I got tired of the positive camber from just how high the car sits in front. Not sure when I'll get it all on the car, but the rear stuff shouldn't take too long.

A good tune goes a long way, throwing a bunch of bolt-ons with stock ECU restrictions on modern cars doesn't do much at all, but if your planning on getting more bolt ons/mods maybe collect them first and get a good proper tune with everything installed on the car.

Got the Michelin Pilot SuperSports on the car today.

Initial impressions? I do not like them and would not buy them again.

Even at 38psi, their sidewall is softer than the F1s and it takes the fun out of the car. They also wander quite a bit more than the F1s did.

Traction is good, but at the expense of feedback.

Unless things change as they wear in I can't see myself buying a set of these again.

Make sure you inspect the quality of the work that has been done to your car, we have seen some horrific electrical tape work not even properly taped.

Where would one look for that? I got mine done and I still have a VERY SLIGHT shaky idle.

Also...

...Would you guys be willing to put some goodies on my car this afternoon?

Look for electrical tape bundle of wires underneath where the sound symposer coming off the manifold would be.

Wait until you get some miles on them. This is a very familiar initial impression on a lot of different platforms. They will get better.

I hope they do. One of the things I loved about the ST was just how fast it responded to steering input.

The ST responded so fast to turn in, and required so little steering wheel input that it made it feel like a very nervous car to drive. It took a month to get used to the steering to the point that I wasn't wandering around with the slightest change in steering angle.
