yeah when new, most people just foorked over the extra dollars towards a burban cuz they are/were barely more.

how much of a price difference between that and gas up by you. they are very close in price by me if i can find it. and doesnt it need to be close to $1.00 lower to make any difference because of how much is used vs gas?

my general rule of thumb was less than 3/4 the price of 87 would make it start to make sense.

This is pretty accurate for the prices around here. I've been buying Thortons e85 vs. BP 87. I only chose Thortons because all of em have e85. The tank price is give or take $10 cheaper but I'm filling up every 4-5 days instead of week or 10 days. I've noticed zero performance gaines but it does take a tad longer to start on e when its balls cold.

but by me, i cant find 2.39 for 87. i filled up in schaumburg and its usually more expensive i paid 2.67 and that was with .20 off becasue shell rewards.
