I'm mixed.
I love the story and have lots of memories of watching the original and best as a kid with my folks.
But, I don't want to see Hollywood dilute it to extract every last cent of revenue they can.

Also kind of annoyed at a 3rd one. I think it’s gonna suck compared to the other two.

It's honestly crazy how perfect they got this movie. The casting, the plot, every single little detail in the filming....just perfect

It couldn't have been easy finding all the young pilots, bunch of unknowns except for miles teller, and they all were PERFECT for their roles

Just rewatched again, except from the eyes of those who believe Maverick died at the beginning from the experimental jet crash and the movie is his life flashing by / addressing guilt / making things right in his mind as he passes.

I can see their perspective, but no sense overthinking the movie.

It’s just damn good and I hope Top Gun 3 receives a quality story line.

Hell, it could be the prequel to the original Top Gun and focus on his Dad just as long as it’s good.

Now I’m hyped to go watch Days of Thunder again.
