What's really amazing IMO is that they got 170 more hp out of the original module motor from .4 liters and 2 more valves (along with head/cam changes).

LS motors went the other way and have squeezed nearly 200hp out of 1.3 liters and different head/cam selections. (LS1 to LS2 to LS7)

2 very different paths for similar results, really cool IMO.

Like I already said, I swing off the LS motor, but the Coyote stock for stock is a far superior motor hands down IMO.

For Contrast

5.0 - 82.8 hp/liter
LS7 - 72.1 hp/liter
LS3 - 69.4 hp/liter
3V - 65.2 hp/liter

I just did the math for my old motor swapped civic, 142hp out of 1.8 liters:

78.9 hp/liter

KJ's snow mobile > Coyote > Dans crappy B18B1 > LS7 > LS3 > 3V.

Has a stock motor LS3 car gone 124 mph in the 1/4? At a street car race weight of 3500# or so. Shaun's car did it with the stock intake, air box, clutch, shifter and so on. Just mufflers and a tune. Plus light weight wheels and slicks.

This car added a Boss intake and went 10.88 @ 125 with minumal mods and 3550#.

Allow me to catch up, just back from the gym.

I doubt that. i was at straightline about a month or so ago and saw a coyote with a rod thrown through the block that was only pushing 8psi with conservative timing with d1sc. It was a clean snap too. Txt me if you want more detail. Saw it first hand and i ain't lying

Pls send details.

Tune to change variable Cam Timing > Cam Swap

82.8 hp/liter > 69.4 hp/liter

:likes:

far superior ? what the fuck are you smoking to say "far superior" ?!

the coyote motor is far superior to a 2v. that's a better use of "far superior" captain excessive punctuation.
