They are different types of movies. Kinda like how Alien was different than Aliens.

First ones were scary thrillers. Second ones were action movies.

I still stand behind my T3 comment. Saw it in the theater. Action scenes were really good, and I was cool with the ending. John Conner actor sucked though.
