I am interested to see how the Weber grease trap works. It seems like the whole bottom of it would be grease. Plus the flavor bars would be full of grease as well. The Traeger does have a pan underneath the grilling surface. But that also means there is no grease in the bottom of the grill. It's just ash. I remove the tray liner and throw it away. Then vacuum the ash out of the bottom of the grill. So very easy to clean and keep clean.

I am really happy with the Ironwood 650. The new WiFire makes cooking easy for a beginner smoker like myself. If I were to do it again, I probably would buy the bigger Ironwood as I find myself cooking a lot of items on the grill at the same time. Meat, corn on the cobb, a tray with veggies, iron pan with BBQ sauce, and so on.

There are vents out the back side. The Traeger Ironwood and Timberline series have vents on the back side as well.
