Yup my average speed driving to work is 20-30mph. I’m lucky to get above 45mph on the drive. It also gets used a lot for short trips of a mile or 2 which kills the mpg. On the highway I get around 24mpg going 65-70. Best I’ve seen in a 25mile rolling period was 28mpg on back roads going 50-60mph.
Couple updates.. I broke the stock antenna. Turns out it was just catching on the garage so in went a 4” Pure Copper brand one.
Also found a tailgate bed rug for $25 to go along with the rubber bed mat.
More interesting news I made a platform for the rear. I saw a thread on the Colorado forums of a guy that made this and really liked it so I used scrap wood and made it. It will also serve as a spot for the dog to sit in his favorite bed... the old back seat cushion from the Camaro. LOL
How it looks bare. The supports are hinged so you can take it out and lay it flat. I’ll probably leave it bare wood and just keep a cotton tarp over it.
Testing it with the dog. He approves!
