Need a stickier tire for the street - ET street or NT05(r)

I'm running a 315/35 right now on the stock rim...im gonna be getting some cobra knockoffs and moving to a 10.5 in the rear.

I know a guy that will be selling 10.5 chromies. You might want to ping me when the time comes before buying a set.

I don’t know if I am a noob, but I never got great traction when running 555R’s or MT’s on the street. I ran them with normal air pressure and assumed that was part of it, but also because they didn’t have enough heat in them. I’d put the traction of my NT-05’s above 555R’s on the street.

the 555r's arent bad for daily driving. lots of confidence in wet weather, but from my experience, they need a TON of heat to be really efficient on the street.

i want to try those NT05r's. supposedly they are a ton better than the old nittos. i just think they will be a good compromise between wear and traction.

Both are good tires, I run NT-05's on the street since DR's equal shitty handling. I've got MT ET Streets but would not think twice about running NT-05R's. This is more information on Bob's tire testing...

my car hasnt been renegade legal for years.. it runs drag radial and extreme street... we tested the BFG, 4 different compounds of Nitto's, and the Mickey Thompsons all in 1 day.. i made over 15passes... the BFG couldnt get down the track and three of the Nitto's were "OK"... the good nitto went a tenth faster then the MT..
