Sure gassers are reliable, powerful and efficient. (enough)

But reliable as a diesel? Say at 200k+? :nope:

Powerful? Like 800ftlbs powerful? :nope:

Efficient? Like 18mpg+ efficient? Efficient as diesel while towing? :nope:


200k. yes. plenty of LS powered 3/4 ton and 1 ton work trucks with well over 200k miles on original everything (and of course 1/2 ton trucks)


powerful? 800ft lbs... meh. im not doing towing drag races. 3/4 ton 6.0 gm's pull plenty well up to 10k, and there's a REALLY good chance no one in here is pulling more than 10k... like ever.

not to mention gas 1/2 tons pull 11k ish now anyways :rofl: STUPID weight.

mileage? meh. 6-speed 6.0 3/4 tons get at least 10-12 mpg while towing from what i've experienced towing sizable boats (10k lbs ish trailer weight)

you just said you're getting 14 mpg.

my bosses 6.7 never says more than 16mpg like ever....

even if i had the desire to get used a rust free, 4x4 crew cab diesel, i don't think i would. i'd save 10k and get the gas counterpart and be happy as a clam.
