I'd say go 6.7 if you're wanting to go the Ford route. However, 11-12 trucks have turbo issues (insufficient oil delivery to center section bearings IIRC) and the early CP4's liked to shit the bed prematurely as well.

With those things in mind, motor/trans will be stout.

Are they finding that the newer trucks are dropping valves like the early run 11's? I remember reading all about that before buying mine, but IIRC it was mainly in chassis cab 450/550 trucks with a pre March 2011 build date?

No longer dropping valve, just losing rockers and lifters like classic powerstrokes. I talked to one shop that has had more 6.7 heads off this year than 6.0s

Also injector hold down bolts are breaking off. Requiring head removal. An entirely dressed head is only $700... That's telling you something

I hate cummins but they also hold up, but everything around them doesn't.
