Upgraded to Comcast 400 along with Google Wifi (mesh).

Speeds are near identical wired and testing on my phone...I've almost hit 500 on both computer and pixel 2 a few times. Mesh is fucking LEGIT.

I didnt need the speed but I needed better coverage in the house and so far, mesh is blowing my mind

Mook, sir, I'm curious about that 400 package. When you spoke to Comcast did they quote what the upload speed would be? When I did two months ago and again a week ago they said it was limited to 10Mbps, which is really sad if they're giving you 400+ down. You're getting 24+ out, which is what I get with a 250/20 package.

The temptation is strong to upgrade to the 400, but your results are the first I've seen where anyone is getting that kind of outbound speeds.

I won't take the 400 package for the same reason.

I'm promised 25 now and regularly get 30.

If I stepped up to the 1Gbit package, I'd get 1000 down and 30up, which would likely translate to 35mbit up.

Only reason I'd step up to the 1Gbit package is to get an increase in upload speeds for Plex streaming.

I keep checking on apartments to see who has AT&T Fiber in the area, because that is a huge bonus for me to where I move. I'd totally go for a 500/500 plan. Heck, 200/100 would be more than I need.

They give business packages more upload since there is a good chance you'll be using VPN or hosting your own services (file sharing, website, email etc) where you'll need that upload.

A majority of residential users rarely host their own stuff, so you get more download (which you'll use) vs upload (only use when posting pics or videos for the most part).
