Fall Cruise to Starved Rock - October 11th

I'm pumped as well.

Depending on how many come with me (could have a few passengers) we might stay at Starved Rock and do some hiking, fishing etc.

Well the meet time is. The first half of it is cruising a bunch of twisty turny farm roads just west of rt 47. The route is designed to have the least stop signs/stop lights as possible. This will take maybe 2 hours. Then we head up 71 all the way into the park. Maybe be there for about an hour. Walk to the rock and get a group picture. I am hoping to be in the park before noon. Then we will start heading back and have lunch on the river. I am aiming for around 1pm. Then we will take a curvy road all the way into Morris. These aren't exact times because it all depends on if people are late or if we have to make any stops. I do think I am going to plan a quick stop at 80/71 so that people can top off.

Not sure if I will be IN or not. Truck has a broken ring gear, and the car's 3rd gear synchro is shot so it will have to see the dealer soon.

groupme for doing terrible things and text while driving. worked great on the tour.

We used handhelds for the tour, and they worked great...as long as we stayed in range
