Dynoing a stock 2009 M3

Yea, working on mastering that. Problem is I only get about 1/2" of pedal travel between ON and OFF. Slipping is hard, let alone keeping my foot that steady on a hard launch.

Going to be trying this more on the street so I can get the feel of it.

What RPM do you launch at?

Haven't found the sweet spot, but I had tried anywhere from 3500 to 6500 @ Byron that last time out... focusing more around the 4500RPM range.

Are you spraying out of the hole?

If so, maybe give this a shit.

Hold your PRM's at about 3500-4000 RPM. Let the clutch go about half way after launching, after the car moves, pop the clutch, and smash the gas. After you hit 2nd, spray like a mofo.

I had a bud with a very similar setup, and he was running into the same problem. The guy that gave me this advice, that gave him this advice, turned his times from a 11.2 @ 120 to 10.97 @ 126. Vast improvement.

I am. I think that once I find the spot where I can get it out on motor successfully, I need to bring in the nitrous say 200RPM later, but still in 1st gear.

Do you have an Lt1 or Ls1?

If Turk thinks an Ls1 is only good for 13.5 on a good day, then something is very wrong.

Nope its an LT1, but i think very capable of low 13s with my mods.

The reason I ask is, I have seen bone stock LS1's running 13.1 and 13.2 with good drivers in decent weather.

I'm not excited to move to a bias ply rear tire... but it might be my only option to fix my problem. I need more sidewall to compensate for the lack of slip in my clutch.

Why? It will only be used at the track, correct? You have 2 sets of wheels already.

Yep, but my understanding is that bias ply tires aired down often result in a much less "planted" feeling on the big end of the track. Maybe its just me, but I'd prefer to stay as planted as possible... LOL
