I need a recommendation for a big handheld spotlight to have around the house. Looking for bang for the buck.
If you're dedicated to a power tool brand, I'd see if they have a cordless version that goes with your set.

I have a lot of DEWALT 20v XR stuff, so I got one of these:

I vaguely remember you said you have a Dewalt random orbital too? Is it cordless and how do you like it?

Are you looking for something as a flood light for a big area? Or more of a long distance spotlight?
I live in the woods so I’d like something to use around the house to shine around at night to spot animals and check on the house and trees during storms, etc. I want a lot of light for cheap, not as concerned with beam quality or super long distance.

I just got one of these. $48 with coupon code shipped from China. Runs on 3 18650’s that are included, USB-C charging and acts as a power bank also if needed. Also available on Amazon for $67.

It is a big light, if you’re looking for something pocketable I’d look elsewhere. Brightness and run time though it’s pretty great.

That DEWALT that I posted is 4 LEDs, three are white, the fourth is red for animal spotting (white/red/off). I have a couple of 20v XR batteries so it's never without a charged pack.

Picked up an Olight arkfeld during their sale they had recently. The green laser isn’t takeover level bright, but it’s a neat addition and my kids and cat like chasing it. The flat form factor with pocket clip is definitely nice though, and will probably be one of my daytime lights I carry.

Been my daily since it came out. Did you go CW or NW on the light? I like the NW.

I almost bought that same one as a second. I dig that pattern.

I’ve been using this one as my work light pretty much every day since 2018 I think. It’s been lost at the hotel and on engines a few times but I keep getting it back. Dropped on rocks and it keeps going. I think a lot of EDC instagram people are mostly collectors. Most of my lights aren’t worn like this because they don’t get used nearly as much.
