I’ve wondered about how big that case is. I don’t have any 3’s but have a couple 2’s. Battery life is the main reason I don’t carry them at work and carry a full 18650 light instead.
Yeah, if you're using a light a few hours a day for work, then a bigger battery light would be useful. I use a flash light perhaps for a few minutes at a time and only a few times a week.

The Warrior 2 is their 18650 light, also on sale today:

Those emisar D4V2’s are nuts if you want to carry a car headlight in your pocket. I could use a more pedestrian 18650 light, but I do use mine on full face melt mode at least once a week.
Yup. I have 2 in different LED colors/type.

They also have mini tubes to fit smaller batteries and basically make it baton sized.

Another good one is the Lumintop FW3A.

I like the idea of a tail switch light. I bought an Emisar KR4 which is basically a D4V2 with a tail switch, but I miss the magnet in the tail cap. I have two D4V2’s 5000k xpl-hi led’s, and then the KR4 with the 90cri 4000k sst (I think?) leds.

Yeah I gotta have the magnet tail.

I found you can get a tail button convoy S2 and the circle magnets fit right in the end cap to give you a button magnet tail.

The D4V2 is pretty cool, thinking about a KR1 now. What color do you guys get for LED typically? I want something that's throwy and I can use to really hit stuff out doors, e.g. if I want to make my neighbors think I'm coming by in a car or something.
get a coke can flashlight like the Sofirn Q8

Is that AA/14500? I like Titanium but the price premium hurts a little.
Yup.

One of my best friends is huge into flashlights. He’s got a bunch of RetLights and always shows me them. I mentioned they were cool and he went out and bought me this one, for no reason.

I just ordered 2 more 14500’s and a smart charger and I’m going to probably order a Pineapple Mini, I like this one but it’s a bit too big for EDC on a clip in my pockets. I’ll probably order 2 of the minis and give one back to my buddy along with 1 of the 14500’s as a thank you to him.

Does the mini take a 14500 or the AAA equivalent? For daily non work carry I like the AA/14500 size lights. I have a little lumintop tool AA I carry most days. It gets the job done, 4 brightness levels plus strobe, and is cheap enough that if I lose it I won’t be that upset.

KR1 on order. I'm thinking about making a cell tester, I have a few that are definitely slightly sketchier than others (including a fully dead cell) out of the two packs I've salvaged so far but overall pretty damn good really. I'm thinking what I'll do is have a resistive load then time how long a full charge cell takes to drain to 2.9V, and have it auto shut off. Shouldn't be too hard to do and I'll drain at a rate slightly under 5A.

I love the Olights. I have the Warrior X Pro. Max 2100 lumens. It’s almost too bright. LOL…

I have the Baton 3 too. Very nice small light with its own carrying case/Charger

Saw Sofirn was having a sale a week or so back, so I got these and had another 20% off coupon. Sofirn SP10 pro 14500 battery, and SP36 budget light forum edition running on 3 18650’s. Both use Samsung LH351D LED’s, the little guy has one in 5000k and the SP36 has 4 in 4000k both 90 CRI. Just got them today, but for the money I’m a fan. I already have a lumintop Tool AA with a 14500 but this little SP10 pro runs on Anduril (2) and I’m used to the D4V2’s that run on original Anduril so the lockout and ramping controls are familiar to me. Not sure when I’ll use this coke can SP36, but it lights up the whole backyard so that’s fun. Anduril 2 has even more features that I won’t use than the original, and am currently reading a review to see what the button on the bigger one is trying to tell me with its color changes.

So, I just got a Bigblue flashlight for SCUBA stuff. First off the sealing is fucking amazing. Second off, it uses an 18650 but it's propreitary far as I can tell. :wtf: It's about .2 longer than the standard 18650 which means none of my cells work. It appears that Orcatorch brand uses a similar style battery. Any ideas folks? I am kind of wondering if I'm in the proprietary because it's diving shit market now. If the lathe ran I'd be real inclined to take a piece of brass and Delrin and make a spacer honestly. Besides the water sealing I think it's overall mostly unimpressive, just a basic LED flash light that would be 20-30 bucks normally and costs 8-10X that much. It's double o-ringed at the head and there's no joint at the base at all. I should probably just snake a few pics.
