DSS axles came in today, got them put together and ready to get installed, powdercoating taking longer then expected on the IRS subframe and Control arms

Just now getting IRS back from powdercoat and having Drew install bushings. Now I can finally get to the rebuild. Now...... how the hell does it go back together?

Just to throw this in, I had the Borla exhaust with the removable baffles and it sounded great both ways. Super loud with the baffles out.

I blew the cover on the diff and then got a brace. Put a 4.11 in and realized it was too much gear (highway speed burnouts). Blew the diff and replaced it with another. Had fixed my pop/tink years ago and realized the new diff also had it. Definitely a problem area on these cars.

I ended up getting a new deferential from FTBR, with new diff cover. I stayed with the factory 3.55's.

Sand blasted housing and rebuilt with new bearings.

Happy Thanksgiving TCG'ers..... slight update, been really busy. IRS is finally installed back under the car. Now I can start buttoning up exhaust, drive shaft. I have the FTBR rear 13" brake upgrade that I will be installing.

Yes out of frustration and impulse. Guy who bought it made quite a few changes to it so buying it back hasn’t been an option. With the kids sports I’d have no time for the hobby but still miss looking at it nice and clean sitting in the garage.

Yea that was a nice car, smelling the corn driving behind that thing ( I’m sure a lot of people smelled that also, car was a monster!!)
