Me either it came up when I was looking up when Gm went to a 10 speed on 1500s. I’ve driven many trucks and I’ve never been impressed with a 5.3. I wanted to see if I was missing something.
The 5.3 with the 6 speed was 100% shit for some reason. The 5.3 paired with the 10 speed is ALOT better.

My 2016 Sierra was a 5.3 with an 8 speed. Ran 15.8 in the 1/4 mile.... yes, I took the truck to the track ( friends company's rental ). Granted it was August and 85+ degrees.
My current 2020 Sierra is a 6.2 with a 10 speed.... this gets my vote if you can swing it. I believe motorweek tested a 2019 or 2020 Denali with this combo and it ran 13.6

Granted I'm pushing more weight, but the 6.2/10 speed just fucking boogies.

Would be nice, but my company is buying this truck, so it's hard to justify a big ole honkin motor when it isn't needed.

damn! Must have been a hard hit to bend the frame like that
Back of my head and neck are a bit sore, but other than that, I feel pretty ok. Lady in front got taken in ambulance. She was crying in pain when I got to her, I think her foot might have been broke.

Holy crap! How fast was he going? This is a solid reminder that trucks don't have shit for crumple zones, lol

I have absolutely no idea. I was not looking in my rear view at all so I didn't see it coming. His airbags did not go off though, so he couldn't have been going too fast. Just a lot of weight he had in his momentum.
