It's in pretty nice shape. Definitely has all the bells and whistle's. Only thing I dont like is the outdated Myfordtouch. Miss my Sync3/Carplay terribly.

Agreed! Probably still much faster than the old E350's with the 5.4 though. Those tanks went nowhere...lol


i have tech's tell me they turn off their AC so they can merge with traffic better... :rofl:

So I gave my STX to a coworker and took one of our salesmen's(guy quit) 2015 F150 Platinum. The STX has about 107,000 miles and served me well, but I really needed something with a crew cab for the kids so I nabbed this thing. It now has 116,000 miles after the trip I just took down to FL for what turned about to be a turd. The 3.5 Eco performed great and the massage seats got a lot of use. The Ecoboost gets a good 2 mpg less than the 5.0 with similar driving.

OOC, what kind of mileage did you get (at what speed)? I'm trying to get an idea in the event my Silverado needs replacing. I've heard good and bad about the 3.5EB, and am leaning towards the 5.0.

Broken rear slide window, turbo coolant lines, both front wheel bearings, front dif pinion seal, valve cover cracked, throttle body(needed a tow for that one), and a few other things. Also the check engine light came on during the cold spell for the cats, but is now off since it got warm.

Probably gonna put an order in for a SILVERAYDO....

Some of the stuff is a given, for the mileage. Ive seen lots more headaches with the ecoboost stuff though.

Yea the Ecos seem to be a bit more problematic, but they’re so much better to drive than the 5.0’s. And they tow effortlessly!

Hopefully a 5.3/10spd won’t feel like a complete turd. Lol
a 5.3 will absolutely feel like a turd compared to a 3.5EB. The EB has 500ish ft lbs of torque, the 5.3 has like 380. The 6.2 is badass...the 5.3 is not.

I drove a 5.3 silveraydo before buying my old 2018 3.5 dad150 and it felt like the chevy malibu of trucks.

The new Silverados are pretty nice. Probably have the nicest interiors right now in my opinion.

My current truck is a 2015. That year the ecoboost had 420lb/ft.

Have you driven an ecoboost F150? Just wondering because my Yote/10spd truck was quick, but the Eco made it feel like a turd with all the low end grunt it has.

Probably should have driven my coworkers 23 RST with the 5.3/10spd, but my mind is made up. I really like the newer Silverados exterior and interior. Plus you get more for your money.

I have not driven an F150. I think our 24 RST is a really nice truck. Opinions are like booty holes. I will say, our 2017 5.3 with the 6 speed was a turd.

All the 10 speeds I’ve driven sucked on the stock tune, I’d imagine the extra tq of the eco makes the truck more enjoyable to drive, my last 5.0 f150 was stock, the one I have now is tuned with intake and off road y pipe, big difference but probably similar to a stock eco boost, sport mode with a tune is pretty nice compared to stock
