okay here is the deal, if non-attending people wish to buy tickets we can do that, it will be a little complicated but i can try and see if it will work. You would either have to contact me or someone else in the club to give your money to and hold onto your tickets and then trust them to not steal yours if it is a winner... i mean i have enough to worry about the night of the party without holding onto other's tickets.

to me it just seems like the prizes were a way to reward members for a good year and for attending events and such, and also as an incentive to attend the party. Seems to me that some people only want a shot at the prizes but not to come out to the party to socialize with us and have a good time... IMO

I know How about for the ppl who attent they get 30 tiks..for the 30.oo we are being charged for the night.

And whoever wants to buy tickets that is not attending can do so.. I think that is fair.

This isn't Lynn this is Hale. If you can't make it to the party then your out of the raffle. Last year we were looking for donations and Alfredo and a few others donated and were entered into the raffle.

As for donating to the club you should of done that already. If you haven't then you really don't give a damn about the club anyway.

I like Alex's idea of if you show you get 30 tickets. If your not present its $5.00 a ticket,3 for $10.00.

You don't like that then come out the the party and hang out with your fellow club members. If we open this up to everyone then we'll have people that aren't even involved with the club trying to get in.

Its not like this was thrown together at the last minute, everyone had plenty of time to make changes to plans or to find someone to work for you.

Seems people become interested when they heard prizes were going to be raffled off most of those people decided to join us and have a good time.

I agree thats Bullshit!! If whoevers attending only gets 1 ticket?? They should get more tickets if thats the case that everybody else thats not going can the people going should get 5 tickets then to start out. What if you just a lazy ass or a cheap ass and thats your excuse for not going but then you wanna buy tickets so you can win from sitting in your house??? You gotta reward the people going more cause they ACTUALLY went there. Im not sayin they cant buy any but people going should be rewarded more for ACTUALLY showing up.

Alex,

Denise said no way to that idea cause that is way to many tickets LMAO!

Hales suggestion isn't bad though, for those who want a chance to win they can chip in $5.00 or 3 for $10.00. Sounds fair to me. They just have to find a buddy to give the money for their ticket or show up after dinner before we raffel the stuff off. I still think that you must be present to WIN!

And proceeds either go to an event next year or to the site.

Jeff ~I agree with you also, 5 tickets may be more fessable then 30 lol.

well 30 tickets is a lot, i mean the roll of tickets i have is big not that big... i like the idea of 5 tickets per attending ILGPC member.

i also agree with a lot of people's posts about sudden interest after the prize list.. which was meant to be posted earlier but it took longer then anticipated to get responses back from the sponsoring companies so there was nothing i could do about that.

most places you need to be present to win.... example: at a track day if you aren't there to race you don't get a shot at winning so why should this be different.

we have 15 prizes up for grabs so it should be worth it to show up.... if not for that for the company of your fellow club members and friends!!!!

denise :)

I don't know that is up to Denise.  I think we talked about if others want tickets they are going to be a buck a ticket....Do you think it is fair for those that don't show up to the x-mas party to get a prize????? Then we might as well put all 300 people from the boards into the pot.

so what you are saying is unless you attend you cant buy tickets and buy buing tickets you donate money so in the end you cant donate money to the site unless you attend the party

sounds right.... if you dont' show you can't win ... and that's how it should be ... if you make the time to show up... you getentereed into the rafffle...

you are welcome to donate money to the club.... I know I've donated alot ... but if you wanna be part of the raffle... show up... seeps pretty simple to me....

I know I am ready for tonight.....I started warming up last night for tonight....hehehehe!

haha yeah we did :) I am also ready for tonight :)

Okay so we decided that only those attending the party will be eligible, seems like the majority agree so that is the final decision. Also those ILGPC members attending will get 5 tickets to start off with, with the ability to buy more with extra tickets at $2 a piece. Also these are only for ILGPC members, not gf's/bf's or husbands and wives. (unless they are already ILGPC members)

see everyone tonight!!! :)

yeah we figured with people getting 5 to start and no one who is NOT attending buying in, we might as well bump it up a buck. all proceeds go to the site so why not...

Just a thought, but if everyone is getting the same amount to start with, you may as well make it less paperwork and give them one ticket each. Since everyone is starting with the same amount, the odds are the same. Then those that buy extra tickets increase their odds. Just a thought. :)
