The route's turn-by-turn directions are available in the link at the end of each day. Follow the link each day, send the directions to your phone and start guidance. The points that shape the route are destinations, and once you get to a destination you have to hit "Continue to next destination" otherwise the route will end once you get to the shaping points. There are too many shaping points to give you the full route because Google can be a dick sometimes.

Day 1 - 3.5 hours, 159 miles

Meet at Woodfield Mall meeting point at 12:30 pm. Come to the meeting spot with your belly full. We'll leave from there.

Starting point: 1153 Perimeter Dr, Schaumburg, IL 60173. Meet in the Northeast corner of the parking lot between Perimeter and Plaza Dr.

Stop 1: Gateway Classic Cars: 1329 Commerce Drive Crete, IL 60417. From Woodfield, we'll drive to Gateway Classic Cars to check out a warehouse of American Muscle for sale.

1927 - 2011 CLASSIC CARS IN CHICAGO | Gateway Classic Cars

Day 2 - 7.5 hours, 366 miles

Meet at Red Roof Inn parking lot at 9 am for 9:30 am departure. Day 2 is a heavy scenic road driving day through central Michigan and up around Michigan's mitt on roads perched along Lake Michigan's shoreline.

Hotel #1 / Day 1 - Friday, Sept 8

Red Roof Inn Benton Harbor - St Joseph - There is no room block, just call and make a reservation. Rates starting at $104 or as low as $93 if you register at first. Link:

Other hotels in the area should you want something more swanky (all are within a few minutes of each other / all within a few minutes of a pancake house and asian buffet) -

Comfort Suites Benton Harbor - St. Joseph - Rates starting at $144
Best Western Benton Harbor St. Joseph - Rates starting at $207
Holiday Inn Express Benton Harbor - Rates starting at $172
Motel 6 - Rates starting at $74
Hilton Garden Inn Benton Harbor / St. Joseph - Rates starting at $269

*All rates pulled from the booking agent on Google Maps

Hotel #2 / Day 2 - Saturday, Sept 9

Alright. Heres what we're gonna do for day 2.

Our night destination (for the mini golf tournament as well as go karts) is Pirate's Cove Adventure Park.

1710 U.S. 31 North
Traverse City MI 49686

The beach front hotels are all expensive as fuck but the chain hotels in the area arent too bad. I'm going to book a king at Hampton Inn Traverse (1000 U.S. 31 North, Traverse City, MI 49686), which has a pool and isnt too bad pricing.

If you click this link,!4d-85.5419721 , it should take you to the area where you can see all the hotels available.

Hotel #3 / Day 3 - Sunday, Sept 10

Escanaba Comfort Suites (same one we stayed at for first Tour) - 10 room block made. Mention The Chicago Garage when you call.
3600 Ludington St
Escanaba, MI 49829

Worst part about moving out of state was missing last year's tour. Starting a new job in a week. Might try to get the time off to visit home and drive in a circle.

sickmint79 03-19-2017 12:22 AM

if you do time it to stop at gingerman i'd prolly go

Yeah, but the tour ends on the 11th, and since we are going counter clock-wise we won't be in MI when that happens.. It is sad, but the way of things.
