Default Traditional Hose Clamps vs T-Bolts

I was just looking at getting some new T-Bolts and couplers for my system and ran across this interesting read from AMS.

https://www.amsperformance.com/attac...Gear_Clamp.pdf

And then the creating beads on aluminum piping led me to looking at cheaper alternatives and I came across this cool video.

On another note, I wish I had my bandsaw back when I was making my kit. I used a chop saw and it made a mess of the ends of aluminum because it is super soft. Cleaning up and de-burring the cuts was a PITA.

tbolts all day every day! Vbands are fancy, but couplers will work with tbolts on cold side piping just as well in most cases.

No need to, but i did. T bolts ftw. Worm clamps are garbage. In much higher horse, marmon, aka v band clamps are necessary.

I, and along with every single other diesel on the road has t bolts. And yes we have aluminum piping, stainless, hell both my truck even have plastic charged ends.. still, t bolt. ...

Well I think I will defer to the guys that build crazy turbo cars on a daily basis for this one. Sure there are better options, but when using aluminum piping this seems to be the way to go.

I've had tbolt clamps blow off on a car without the bead on the end of the pipe, I just used the old cheap hair spray trick to keep it from blowing off, I later bought pipes with the bead on the end

I blew countless worm gears off the TA, even with good beads in place.

Beads are key no doubt, but if you get a quality t-bolt clamp, its better all day every day - and I'll stand by that.,

I make 10-12 lbs.

I do not see the point in spending money on T-Bolts and possibly deform the pipe, when I can bead the ends and run good worm drives at a fraction of the cost.

Worm clamps are also notorious for heat expansion. So you better have every single one of them accessible and re torque then after every pass

This is a JUNK t-bolt clamp they show in their PDF... maybe they're just making excuses to push cheaper clamps on their weaker builds?

One of the most expensive builders when it comes to GT-R is pushing cheaper worm clamps?

Makes zero sense.
