Default Think i hurt my motor

So I was at Byron this weekend and made 3 passes with my car.. 2nd and 3rd pass I blew off the vacuum hoses on the back of the blower.. Spoke with the tuning master and he said they are very important and could lean out the motor under boost.. So I just took a ride around the neighborhood and its drives fine but at idle its kinda rough now and the a/f ratio gauge is going kinda bonkers.. Any idea what I could have done?

this might sound silly, but did you disconnect the battery wires...then re-connect? My brothers truck did the same thing. But who knows

I'll try that tomorrow... Only bad thing if I disconnect the battery I have to invest an hour or so in the reprogramming of my AVIC D3 and nav...

Swap the FRPS and hope that's it.

Regardless, clamp all the vacuum hoses with zip ties so it doesn't happen again.

im worried if it blew a vacuum line off that it wouldnt boost the FP like it suppose too.. pull a plug or 2 and check to make sure they look like they are all there and not collapsed.. THEN, WIRE TIE ALL YOUR VACUUM LINES!!!!!!!!!!

Sensor's a 10 minute job. Put the kids in the car and tell them it's pretend ride time. they won't figure it out for a few minutes. Remember to void the fuel in the line or you will get sprayed when you take the sensor off.

step 3a:
cover your hands with a rag so you don't get Cliffed in the face with raw fuel

i have a compression and a leakdown tester if you want to find out how hurt your motor is.

a leakdown test is time and effort for sure. compression test is easy crankin'.
