This argument is ridiculous lol. Thanks for the entertaining read.

This build is definitely something a pretty average car guy with enough funds, and a two car garage with basic mechanics tools could do at home. A lift isn't needed to pull an engine from a Mustang. These cars are pretty easy to work on.

Sure, your average guy isn't going to machine a block in his garage. It's not difficult to send the short block out to a machine shop, get it a few weeks later, assemble the top end, and drop it into the car yourself. Many of us here have way more labor intensive builds that produce half the horsepower or less.

The impressive part of this build is the simple combination of a stock top end with only forged rods and pistons swapped into the bottom end. The consumer in this case has to do very little research or trial and error to get to 1,400 rwhp. No crazy built engine, ported aftermarket heads, or custom camshafts needed. Just a set of upgraded rods and pistons to make 1,000+ horsepower.

i totally agree my whole point the whole thread has been @Pressure Ratios bullshit about stock this stock that.

price im not arguing its cheap its a mustang its the fucking honda civic of the domestics

just dawned on me since i need to break everything down with fucking coloring crayons ive meant a god damn engine lift aka cherry picker to get the god damn engine out i never once for a second meant a mother fucking 2 post lift or 4 post lift or hoist......

of couse the average mother fucker doesnt have an engine shop in their home either.....
by built bottom end my gripe is that most people wouldnt even assemble the rotating assembly for the bottom end either.

its fully assembled short block from the engine shop and drop it in i get it.

people get so fucking bent out of shape about me saying its NOT stock this and that....

FACT is this is a vendor built race car thats already been down the track for a season prior to the 1400whp setup.......

@Pressure Ratio was all bent out of shape about the trans when someone said it wasnt stock so he had to "verify" and call himself.... of course its been rebuilt its a seasoned vendor built race car.....

vendor built shop race car making 1400whp does not = some weekend garage job built on peanuts and pennies.....

@LikeABauce302 totally agree the 1000whp stock engine setup is more impressive than 1400whp with a 7k bottom end and a 2100 dollar turbo upgrade......

In all fairness its only a 7k dollar bottom end because MMR is a bunch of overcharging con artists. Anywhere else this is a 2500-4000 dollar bottom end from any reputable shop. Possibly cheaper if you're providing a usable block and crank.

$800-1000 rods, $600 pistons, and $1000 in labor/machining and then the cost of bearings/rings.

You could definitely replicate this build for cheaper if you shop around and do all of the labor except short block assembly.

BINGO

a fucking men

like i said "most" people wouldnt even assemble the bottom end.

Thank you someone with a brain......

*cough* *cough* buy f150 engine unfuck the bottom end with proper components sell top end.....

dont even rip apart the short block from mustang......

that leaves a good short block waiting on standby......

at the very least that would shave down time and make room to sell uneeded shiz to recoup some money like the heads cams intake and whatnot from the f150 donor.

that would be my approach and 2 cents....

This is what happens when you own a 3800. You turn into 98GrandPrixIraqVet. 3800, not even once.

Why are we arguing the short block again, I don't know any car that will take 1400whp for any length of time on a stock short block, this would be a very easy to replicate build in my garage that's under equipped, I mean I've done like 10 turdy8hundred motor swaps in there

Lemme slap that turbo kit together in a 2600# caged car and see what happens.

Would be fun times.

Would even buy you beer and call a tow truck to drag your junk ass 3v home.

Annnnd try hold back my laugh because I cant take your avatar seriously......

Honestly tho just for a second here goals are to at least duplicate the 10.8 @126mph the previous owner ran with a gen5 setup and under 500whp. Turbo setup should be able to make 500whp on E85 pretty easily. Only problem is god knows how long it will be before that sh1t is done....... need to stop being deployed that's step 1.

98grabdprixiraqvet is a troll.

No engine picker? You can rent one for about $30. Big fucking deal. Car guys usually have a buddy with one anyways. No engine picker available period? No problem you drop K member and motor from under car. People and mind power. Something it seems he knows nothing about.

Is he really comparing a 500hp 3800 to a 1400 hp build. What a king stroke.

Done with this mental midget. He picks and complains I'm every thread.

probably going to have a hard time with 500whp if it is all stock, that 500 number isn't slap a turbo kit on a stock 3800 easy, even though we like to make it sound like that, there are only a few 3800's on here that have made that and can prove it
