Ohh yeah.. ATP is testing and releasing parts for the EB mustang.

ATP TURBO - The Premiere Provider of Turbocharging Components

cliff notes.. ATP Downpipe and ATP IC with a Cobb OTS stage 1 tune (which is made for a stock car on 93) netted 295hp and 375 ft-lbs at the wheels. Max torque at 2700 RPM!

So an IC will probably be the first hard part I will be buying.

The stock exhaust sounds like nothing. all you hear is a bit of turbo. Obviously with an aftermarket exhaust it sounds like a 4 cyl somewhat similar to a focus ST.

Thus far the car has been great. Has less hp and torque that the LS1 but in the Ecoboost the torque comes on at super low RPM as soon as it comes into boost so its a lot of fun in to drive daily and with just a tune they are running 12's. Once more hard parts get developed they will only get faster.

Check on Panda Motorsports for a tune. I love my 93 tune, its super snappy lol. They may be working on IC too. DO NOT pay the price for a COBB IC. There will be cheaper ones that do the job. My Panda one is great. You'll love it even more on a 93 tune ;)

I pretty much tore my Focus ST apart within the first month and dont regret it lol

Are you planning to do the exhaust? Or do you like just the turbo noise?

I'll do exhaust for sure. For the time being just replacing the stock mufflers and keep the suitcase resonator thing on the car. Eventually it will be completely done.

ohh yeah for the DP and IC I won't go with Cobb unless they release something really great that I think would be worth the cost. I spent tons of time tuining the camaro with HPT so I'll be slowly doing the same with this car using the Cobb Access Tunner software.

id run a cutout off a big ol' downpipe and let it run through stock exhaust when closed to keep 'er stealthy and quiet

I thought about that except the stock exhaust weighs something around 70lbs. not sure if its worth staying super stealthy for that much of a weight penalty.

I wonder what it sounds like wide open, probably all Turbo noise? NICE!
wide open as in dumping out of a stock DP? not much really the watermelon sized Cat takes most of the turbo sound away.

Can you turn off the sound symposer with the tuner? It sounds like a Gran Turismo 3 Corvette.

No its controlled by a separate module eventually there will be ways of getting rid of it. I'm guessing you are basing the GT3 Vette sound off the Cobb video of the system being triggered by their access port. In real world driving you can barley tell the difference between off and on. I don't even notice it driving my car. Here is a video of the sound symposer off vs on. I can't even tell the difference unless I put headphones on and really listen. listen at 58 sec and 1.59 for a good comparison of WOT off vs on. All it is is some Bass sound really. in fact some people have been having problems when they install aftermarket subs because the sound symposer blows their eardrums away with bass.. lol.

Wow that's a nice car, it's like looking at porn.
One question, under what category falls that 4 cyl mustang? With what other car will it compete with?

Well There really isn't a category. There are no other RWD cars like. I guess cars like a v6 Camaro or v6 mustang are the only close competition but with just a tune the 4 banger turbo will smoke both of them with high 12 sec 1/4. With a few bolt on's the car should be high 11's with ease. When I was looking for new cars I also looked at the FRZ/BRZ, SS Camaro, GT mustang, Used Vettes, Used 3 series BMW's.

on the Mustang6g forum the EB section has a lot of import and euro converts buying these up. Plus the import tuner shops and traditional American v8 performance shops are jumping on mods for this car. Its a really strange thing how its crossing lines like that.
