Kevin's cars seem to know that he owns them, and get inexplicably slower. His old one was such a turdbox for its mods. The new one might be getting slowed down by the flames though...-50 horsepower for those things.

I'd also agree with NOT camming that motherfucker, and/or only changing shit minimally. Sounds like a money setup the way it sits, though it seems like it's struggling/falling off up top from the traps.

I ran 13.274 @ 101mph without a Cam, Rockers, or an IC...
I was thinking I should CAM mine, love yo hear why not to do it?

It's a quick reliable setup, why change that to a setup that's going to require a shitload of more tuning and takes a shit on reliability?

I guess I just see that a Cam has alot more potential than Rockers...
I'm not worried about tuning, it's a never ending battle anyway...

what all mods do u have?? and they are right rockers are much easier to work with then a cam... the only reason i was beating the cam'ed gxp is tuning HOPEFULLY he will be running right along side with mine when its tuned or maybe even faster... hes one of my buddies...

I think the problem is tuning alone. Too many 3800's running shitty times with cammed i/c setups. Ricky's car is considered slow but the damn thing has 150,000 miles on it and it's patched together and went 12.7 but it's i/c'd and s1x'd so it's "slow" 150,000 miles is quite a bit IMO. My cars are both going to be cammed eventually one for sure and the other maybe next season. But if the person doesn't have their own tuner forget it, stick with simple mods.

The only Mods I added after my 13.274 @ 101 are the 39# FIs & swapped my PVP intake for the mandrel bent one.
The goal, for me, is/was to be a 12sec car without cracking the block.
I'd say I'm driving a "bolt-on" low 13 car with 100mph+ traps
I got 95,000+ miles on her & still daily driven, winter included
