My wife and I have been seeing these meal kits at Mariano's and decided to give it a try last night. It comes with everything needs to cook the meal, serves too and is around $16. I'm sure you could buy everything and wind up spending less per meal but this came with the perfect amount ever thing. The meal was BBQ meatlaof with sour cream and chive mashed potatoes and green beans. Very tasty, a bit calories heave at 800 but the perfect amount of food.

Jibarito Y Mas imo is the best for a quick bite (appetizers, Jibarito and rice).
Alcapurria, Pasteleos and Rellenos all $1 and iirc the Maduros are $2

Original location is NW corner of Fullerton and Kimball, but they just opened a new one at 3317 n Harlem. The later in the day the longer the wait at both locations. Probably gonna go Saturday before the World of Wheels
