What is this wire for???

Found this behind the carpet on the passenger side of the trunk.





Cant seem to find anywhere this plugs in. The only thing I can think of is this is for a rear antenna. (like 97's have) :dunno:

id think too many wires for a power antenna for sure...

maybe on star?

my onstar was on the other side tho... and had more wires... maybe some cars that had bose? for the additional amp?

Mine is a 00 so it shouldn't have came with onstar wires lol. Car has bose, the amp is in the middle by the trunk light. Does the onstar mount on the side of the trunk?

CD Changer?
possibly, did these cars come with cd changer as a option?

Pretty sure onstar was only in 01+ cars.

Probably a CD changer. They did have an option for that.

Plug it in. Run 12s.

On star is on the 01+ driver side and has a shit ton of wires. I am almost positive that is for the optional cd changer that should mount in the passenger side.

That's where my changer sits. Gotta delete my cd changer and onstar for maximum weight savings.

It's the built in NOS hook up from the factory. Remove spare tire, put in NOS, win.

yea cd changer for sure ... same type of connection as the back of the stock head unit / wire harness
