ok so I had my car up on the dyno yesterday at speed inc and Larry said that I should get a tune because my a/f was lean.

so from what I can see I would need the gm full dyno tune to adjust the A/F ratio. my question is should I do this its $500. what kind of gains could I expecet to see?

what mods?

i think if your modded you should go for some sort of tune....either mail order or dyno tune. i think you can get a mail order for like $99 from pcmforless though i'm not much of an ls1 guy.

I Dont know much about tuning, but that does look pretty lean. Is there any detonation?

Since you dont know what mods are on it, it might be kinda tough to get the right off the shelf tune. Unless you can find out the mods, you are probably going to need to find someone with a wideband, some sort of logging/tunning software, a dyno and/or a nice stretch of road. I guess paying speed inc. $500 is an option too.

Yea, you want to get it down in the high 12s. $500 is about the going rate at a shop... PM me if you want a street tune done. I can hook you up and save you some $.

Don't waste your $ on mail order tunes, unless you're just getting basic tune changes done... fuel and airflow tables (VE & MAF) tables just can't be reliably adjusted without seeing the car run on a wideband... tuning it on narrow band data alone is a ridiculous concept... but people do it...

Prices from $375. Not bad. Wonder if thats a full tune or just the basics.

Go to straightline performance. All the guys from shockerracing use them and are running ridiculous times at the track for the amount of work done. We went to the track yesterday and a guy asked my buddy how much nitrous he was using. He's not using any nitrous, just a cam and bolt ons.
