Welp, the Spyder took its first trip to the track to US41 for the Buick club races. 4 passes total, two of them near collisions with the wall at over 100+ MPH.
The two good videos we got on tape. The tires seemed to break loose 3/4 of the way down the track. Needless to say, we are getting new tires for the rear this week. On there now are summitomo 315/35ZR17.... it is gonna get some 335/35ZR17 Hoosier DOT slicks or some Good Year F1's.
It pulled 1.8 60 fts all day with a 118 MPH trap speed and an 11.99 ET. That is 15 PSI boost, 93 octane pump gas and a trans that's flaring in 3rd gear (you can actually hear that on the video). The only tuning thus far is to get the idle right. This is running a F.A.S.T standalone now and needs LOTS of tuning to get it right. This bad boy will no doubt hit the 10's. The Cobra ran 11.40@118 and these two cars are withing 5 lbs of one another. Still gettin' er' dialed in but look for much fast ET's in the very near future!
