2.54.94 today at Autobahn Country Club Full today
I ran into 1 car exiting north turn 6. I had to wait a second or two before getting back on the throttle as I waited for him to wave the pass. I'm guessing I would have done a low 2:53 high 2:52. On a sad note instructor said the lap after my fast lap I was even faster, but I had to come in as I was out of fuel ( went from half a tank to empty in 5 laps lol). I can see with a chance to string 3-4 laps together with no traffic getting into the 2:49 range

ya that fuel consumption is a bitch it looks like i'm 2.5 sessions before empty

I think 2:49 should be easy for most of us high HP cars to attain next year.
The Maxxis tires are very good track day tire but not a good tire for racing. They last forever and have decent grip but are definitely not a Hoosier. They have similar grip to a Nitto NT01 but last longer on a heavier car. Back to back testing has shown that the RC-1 is 3 to 6 seconds slower than a Hoosier R7 on the Miata depending on the track. Maxxis has a good contingency program and the tires are cheaper than Hoosier R7 tires also, so we run them when there are not enough people in class to win Hoosiers.mweber those RC1 tires are no joke!
