All done and good to go. The shocks before were shot, so the new Z06 ones ride really nice combined with non run flat tires. Feels good to be back on the road with the car.

akebono performance ceramic pads and centric premium rotors have not let me down yet and they feel good on the car.

Do it. I found mine cheapest from vettenuts.com. Just remember the upper isolator bushings and the nuts. Easy as crap to do. I am going to try and do a write up here on it this week if I get time.

I did finally get ahold of the tint place I want to go to. They are booked until next Friday so I made an appointment then. I don’t want to go dark on the windows. Like EmersonHart13 said, 30-35% is my plan.

Side note, I hear these cars rear hatch glass is a royal pain in the ass to tint. When I told the guy the car I had he repeated it and I heard some dude in the background groan really loud. Made me LOL.

I like blacked out....but I would never get it because usability wise it BLOWS

Id go 20-35%, no darker. Just to get that sun heat off ya and still be able to see at night

I hope they do. I am waiting on this place because it seems they do a lot of higher end stuff. A couple of guys I work with have taken their higher end cars there and were happy. I am hoping for the best

35%...geez, are we really getting that old? ? Love my 5% + 50% windshield. But I admit, it does certainly suck to drive sometimes.

Have them just do a strip of. Black vinyl over the dot matrix, otherwise the tint will look like shit. You can notice it from the inside/outside. My tint was crappy on dot matrix and had a strip of black vinyl installed and it looks 100x better. Unfortunately, my car is at a buddies shop otherwise I'd take a pic to show.

I am an old 36. I will definitely have to talk to them about a plan. Given the dudes groan in the background I am assuming they have done a few of these. They asked me if the rear had struts on the hatch, which it does. I am not sure if earlier model c5’s had them on the glass but mine are on the frame. Really just want it to look nice and flawless when they are done, so whatever they have to do to achieve that I am good with.

Finally did a full detail on the car. I couldn’t really get correction on the deeper scratches, but I am ok with it as I drive it a lot and don’t want to get the clear too thin in places. I used iron x for the first time and was surprised there wasn’t really any contamination on the car, no purple color change.

Overall happy with the results. I used Wolfgang’s deep gloss paint sealant with si02 this time as I loved their dgps 3.0 so I figured I would try something new. Weather is moving in, so I will get some outside pictures later.

This color really doesn’t show swirl marks surprising to me. The paint wasn’t bad before, but it has a better shine now. I had the clear roof re cleared last year, so this is the best before and after of the correction I could get.

The want is heavy. I might play with lowering it on the stock bolts all the way and see how it does. These roads out here make me nervous about dropping it, but it won’t hurt to give it a try.
