Ohhh, tough one.

I'd had to dig out my old printed photos, but it was probably my 1981 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ. Now have a weak spot for that generation of G-Bodies. It had replaced my 79 SJ which was destroyed by a FedEx truck making an illegal left turn. It was the beginning of having "freedom" as I was around 17-18 and started to venture out more. Plus, it was super clean, a 21k mile "old lady" car. Yeah, had the anemic 3.8 V-6, but it was my car, that I paid for with my own money.

I'd like to get another 92-96 Grand Prix GTP (with the 3.4), since I had a lot of adventures with it. Or even replace my 94 Honda Prelude SI 5spd (non-VTEC) with a 96 SI VTEC, since I had so much fun with it.

But that 81 GP is what started it all.
Just for you Bob Kazamakis Bob Kazamakis :ROFLMAO:

It wasn't mine per say, it was my old mans.... but I restored this car with him when I was 16. I still remember so many memories about this thing, from sandblasting all of the parts in a little tent (HAD SAND EVERYWHERE), to new years day him and I starting it up and having a fire out of the carb, to the day I got it up to 125 MPH racing a 1996 dodge ram pace truck (built motor with a powerdyne blower)... Also mine was blue, but same difference.

My dad bought a new in late 84 1985 model year Toyota Corolla GTS in red with the factory gold wheels.

When I bought the MR2, it was from a friend of mine. Dad's corolla had been sitting neglected for years, so I convinced him to sell it to my buddy so I could buy the MR2.

Buddy bought it, fixed up the neglect and drove it for a few years, then sold it to his rother in law who was a subaru guy I knew for years. He sold it to someone on JGTCA and I lost track of it.

If I won the lotto, I'd track both down and show up with crates of cash to get them back.

Found some more. This would have to be when I first got it, as it still had the little old lady white-walled tires on it. Taken over at Morton Arboretum, circa 1990 or 1991. I am pretty sure I still have the license plates.

Great looking car!

Also I have a pile of plates from over the years….one day I’ll do something with them
Thank you sir. I really do miss it. I had plans to drop a 327 and TH350 in it, with a set 3.55 gears. Unfortunately a [new] reliable vehicle to get me to/from work was a priority, and couldn't have my only car tied up in a project. So it got traded for a 1992 Chevy S-10 with the 2.8 V-6 and a 5spd, two tone blue. Another vehicle I miss, but it didn't have AC, so don't miss it as much. Though I did teach my first g/f how to drive stick with it. And those were definitely some pleasant times. Miss her more than the truck even, lol.

That's nuts, everything is the exact same as when I sold it ~10 years ago, even down to the shifter. Only difference is I didn't have wires all over the damn place.
