Smaller tube at engine side to keep up velocity out of the head. Step to larger can help make more top end. In reality tho it has to squeeze back into a small
turbo opening sooooo......

ive seen and read about it but not sure in this case will really
do much... only 3.something mm difference in size..

yeah its not often you see step tube primary's on turbo stuff as your valve timing is your anti reversion.

on the overlapped na/sc stuff your looking to help draw out as much exhaust and even air/fuel to make sure the cylinder is "clean" for the next event.

the exhaust temp change is less on the turbo setups with their higher egt's than the NA junk that gains density.

from everything ive been reading/seeing the main rule is to keep the cross sectional area even, leading to the merge cones and venture merge collectors that have the narrow "waist" past that was equal length primary's with the length for the turbo/powerband, minimal bends, etc

look at all the new cars, damned mirrored turbo's nowadays to even out the flow/minimize any disparity.

such amazing times we live in

(except the election which is akin to you having to chose between a Lada and a Yugo for your daily driver)

PS. that shits sexy as hell, thanks for paying for that artwork.

PS I finished making another couple heat sinks for the dual ICM setup (along with an inline autometer rpm/tach output for better ignition trigger on the rollers)

I have the tabs, plate and the flag connectors, dave is working on it right? or paul?

id like you to play with it, with the slave 7x signal not going to the pcm it seems to work quite well. im sure it can fit into a flat rate envelope.

I have also located a point on the ICM plate where carefull work with a a drill/dremel would let us hotwire +12-16v at the output side of the built in +12v current limiter, though I have quite the mind to play with this through the doubler tabs/primary circuit external wiring with the daisy chain/jumpers

I took apart my train set power supply and found I can put out 18v at nearly 10 amps

somehow the kid in me wants an old model train controller in this frankenregal

If got a drop in solution where all I gotta do is bolt it down, connect icm wire and coils... i'd be willing to try it out on the whipple turd... it has the MSD dis4 setup, but box is dead and removed.. just the spacers sitting there until i finally get aorund to pulling em off.

The slave ICM needs the coil orientation tabs ground off and then the coil terminals grommets removed and the plastic ground enough to let you fold the terminals down flat so that you can connect to them the dremeled openings in the side

From there it's just running the connectors in parallel by using two ICM harnesses but you leave the slave 7x and cam outputs disconnected

headers back on and wrapped :) One pic I think was taken with a potato...

Dave had to do some modifications to get the stupid injector connectors
to fit. They are in the middle-ish of the injector (48mm with 12mm adapter)
so it would hit everything in its way or something.

Plus hope to find out of my new smaller but better brake booster idea fits
and works out... Their is like 1mm between header wrap and the smaller
booster ... we need smaller.. So should be 1" smaller around... Double piston/diaphragm ...

Then work off the new cross over and downpipe...

Getting close maybe?

Well the even smaller brake booster is on and all hooked up. So my idea seemed to work
out. No pics yet... Nor idea what pedal feel is like yet, but its all bolted on. Dave said it
went pretty much right on with nothing crazy... Said there is ~1.5" clearing now
where the rear header was basically rubbing the GM smaller booster.

Kinda like the ICM location. Talked about doing this when I dropped off the car
2.5 yrs ago.

At first I was like oh no can't run strut tower brace if wanted.. then realized,
oh wait, this car just goes straight... and has a cage to stiffen it up anyways,
and will be a 10 pt cage eventually over the winter I hope.

Also more header porn.... crossover and downpipe pics hopefully soon
