Sounds like Honda is the winner as far as push mowers go. Any cheap mower is a gamble. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

My gaskets have begun their U.S. trip. Elk Grove to Addison to Chicago and, hopefully, heading for Florida.

So for those not getting sleep over what mower we chose, we spent a little more and went with a Honda. So far it hasn’t missed a beat!

Not sure if I ever replied in this thread. I have a Toro. I've had Toro mowers prior to this Toro. The Toro mowers before this one was garbage. I bought the 22" blade, self propelled walk behind with the Briggs motor. After 3 cuts it locked up and stopped working. I always checked the oil prior to a cut, and topped off the gas each time. The 3rd cut and the mower was garbage.

Got it replaced and got another one. Same thing. After 1 season, it just didn't want to work. Gave it to my brother and bought one last one but with a Kohler motor. MUCH BETTER! After every season I have to clean out the tank real well and clean out the carb. But after that, it works great.
