So....last month my wife and I took a ride in my buddies RZR XP 1000 4 seater while we were up at Silver Lake sand dunes. We had a blast and my wife was obsessed. She essentially did not want to touch her Raptor 700 after that. So I began looking for one. Due to the current market for Powersports, people are asking outrageous prices for used stuff. So I started looking at new ones and realized that the turbo model was only $1300 more than the 1000. Only problem was that nobody had anything in stock. I got a tip from Polaris that they had just sent on to a dealer in Indianapolis. I called the dealer and they were closed due to a COVID case but the guy answering the phones looked in back and found the machine in the crate. I put a deposit on it and picked it up after their quarantine ended.
Right off the bat I ordered 4 point harnesses and harness pass through bezels. I also picked up a 2nd set of rims and got some paddles.
I also wound up buying a 12ft Aluma trailer so that I could double tow up to Silver Lake. We just got back and it was the most fun we’ve had on the dunes in years. It pulls pretty hard and soaks up the whoops real well.
