Yea I’ve been putting it through the ringer lately. 15-16k behind a 13yr old 3/4ton. It doesn’t seem to mind much though.

Heading to Silverlake again tomorrow. I’m super pumped to beat the snot out of it again. I bought some side mirrors and a small front bumper so I can mount my flag easier. The mirrors should be a huge help because I can’t see anything behind me when strapped into the harnesses. I also bought a roof off a guy up in Michigan, so I’ll pick that up this weekend.

Had another great weekend at Silverlake. I hope to put my roof on today and order a windshield. They say to do the first service at 25hrs which seems long. Right now I’m at about 10hrs and 230 HARD miles. So I think I’ll go ahead and do the first oil change and greasing. In 2 weeks, we are headed down to Windrock in Tennessee and Durhamtown in Georgia. I’m super pumped because it will be the first dirt riding I’ve done in it.

Some photos from some trips of the last few weeks. We went down to Durhamtown off-road park in Georgia. We had a lot of fun in the red clay trails. One thing that made it real enjoyable was the directional trails. We were really able to open it up with no worries of oncoming traffic. They also had a dirt drag strip and quite a few tracks. The coolest one was called the Turbo Track. It was designed for newer high hp sxs’s. I was able to keep 70mph through some of it. This was also our first use of the new windshield.

I also ran up to Michigan this past weekend to do the Baldwin trails. My buddy just picked up a new xp4 Turbo and we ran them pretty hard.

Back on Black Friday, I happened to stumble across a FB live video from Shock Therapy. In the video they announced that they would be doing 1hr of 20%. I jumped on their website and ordered up a dual rate spring kit. Not something I was planning on buying quite yet, but their stuff never goes on sale. I’ve been trying to finish up some house projects, so I just now got around to installing them. Still need to make the final ride height adjustments and fine tune the crossover rings. I can’t wait to get this thing out and give it hell. I was getting a little bucking through high speed whoops, hopefully this addresses it.

SleeperLS SleeperLS do you do any duning?
If we had big dunes like silver lake or glamis, I would probably be there all the time. I primarily ride the desert trails and mountain trails out by me. There are a couple dune type areas in southern New Mexico I think. I would like to hit those up someday. Really need a set of paddle tires for that. It is inevitable I will go to glamis one of these years as it is about 10hrs away.

I’m working on planning a fall trip to Little Sahara Sand Dunes in Waynoka, OK. Not sure if that’s something that interests you. It puts Silverlake to shame in size, but is definitely smaller than Glamis and some of the others out west.

The gf's parents just bought a brand new XP 4 seater to replace their 900s 4 seater. I'm looking forward to ripping that around in Reno this fall. The opportunity to buy their 900s is there but I'm not all that excited about it so I told them to cash in on the covid prices.
