Owner of the company is fighting me hard on giving me the days off. Just sent an email saying I am taking off those days off and the company will have to deal with it. In the last 5 years I have taken a pay out for over 15 weeks of vacation since I can never take them. And I still have 8 weeks worth of vacation time acquired. And not only are they fighting me about it he is trying quilt me about it. Trying to tell me working here is like a vacation. :picard:

Wait till I inform them I am taking off for a Tail of the Dragon trip, Drag week, Mustang week and a big race in Georgia. lmao

Anyways, I will be waiting to hear what you come up with for hotel info.

We had like a list of 30 people that said they were going and it ended up be me, Mook, Bru, and Eagle! Lmfao!

Not true - I long hauled '12 - ran into a few TCG folks at the Grand Rapids stop.

Either way - I recommend anyone that has any car to show up, even if you park in spectators. Bring your DD and hang out. It's like the largest moving car show ever!

agreed..... I also went in '12....

I ended up having to skip day 1, but I picked it up day 2 and ran all the way to Champaign....

i'd be down for '14 (at least part of it)

OK, here's TCG Staff's plan. We have hotel rooms booked at the following establishments. The route should be around 600-700 miles round trip. Official routes haven't been announced, but they're typically back roads through small towns and off the major highways. smug, with your permission I can insert the following in your original post and this thread will be the official TCG Power Tour discussion.

Wednesday June 11, Crown Point IN
Drive to Crown Point, Indiana and meet up with the Power Tour gang who would have just come from Norwalk. Event at Lake County Fairgrounds.

Wednesday night hotel: $129.00+tax, HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS & SUITES, 1773 Fountain Park Drive, Schererville IN 46375, complimentary breakfast, indoor pool, free parking (located 11 miles from venue)**Arrive June 11 / Depart June 12

Thursday June 12, Bettendorf IA
Drive from Crown Point to Bettendorf in the morning. (190 mi, 3 hours 6 mins) Do the event in IA at the The Isle Casino and party with the PT crew at the hotel. Besides the driving, hanging out eating pizza and drinking beer in the parking lot with 100 other power tour peeps is a blast.

Thursday night hotel: $119+tax, RESIDENCE INN, 4600-53rd Street, Moline IL 61264, complimentary breakfast, indoor pool (located 7 miles from venue) **Arrive June 12 / Depart June 13** There are 5 available from a total of 20. This hotel is away from the downtown area and has a parking lot within view of the rooms, unlike some of the hotels in the downtown.

Friday June 13, Wisconsin Dells
Drive from Bettendorf to the Dells. (189 mi, 3 hours 9 mins) Attend the Dell's event at the Chula Vista Resort.

Friday night hotel: CHULA VISTA RESORT, 2501 River Road, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965, waterpark, free parking (located at venue)**Arrive June 13 / Depart June 14.

Drive back home from the Dells on Saturday, June 14.

wait. Nope.

I'm out.

working that weekend in Seattle.

sonbitchpileofmonkeynuts.

:fu:

I'm planning a big June event at work with a few of our partners and some local tracks. I kicked my own ass when I realized the dates I pitched were Power Tour. Luckily, one of the tracks was booked that week so I pushed hard to reschedule the 20+ people, two partners and two tracks to the week before.

Because Power Tour.

Did you pick the schererville hotel or that what power tour picked? I think there is more to do in merrillville crown point area then out that way. And lot closer.
