I prefer these definitions for the humor though.

“Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.
Torque is how far you take the wall after you hit it.” -Old racer’s creed

And now thanks to Mustangs:
Horsepower is how fast you hit the People
Torque is how many people you take out.

On the serious side? I like a nice flat torque curve that basically holds most of the peak torque from near idle to red-line. That gives an awesome linear response and lots of power too on the top end.
