Nothing better than a quickie on a Friday night, amiright?
No real before pictures as the car was "clean" when it arrived. Dusty and fancy wheels were showing some brake powder.
The process is the definition of a paint enhancement. Rupes Uno Protect is formulated to remove moderate to fine defects while leaving behind a layer of protection. Natural waxes and a polymer sealant ( after the 4 hour curing time ). The rag company made several videos on the product, one that said: 30 minute correction/protection.
So, I will be honest, from the time the product went on the pad to the time I was done: 27 mins. The product needs 20-30 minutes to set up so I made it around the vehicle before removing any residue.
Full process:
Rinse
Foam with Adam's car shampoo + contact wash with Adam's car shampoo
Clay using car wash as the lubricant, nanoskin handy towel ( lower sections of the doors, rear bumper and front half of the hood ).
Rinse + dry
Purple power APC 1:1 for tires, P&S Brake Buster foamed on the wheels + misc brushes.
Brake buster full strength was used to pretreat the exhaust tips.
Tips were cleaned with P21S polishing soap
1 Rupes yellow/medium wool pad via Rupes LHR15 Mark II
Rupes Uno Protect AIO
Bead maker to touch up the exterior glass
CarPro ECH2O + Reload DIY QD for the final wipe on the wheels
Meg's Hyper Dressing 3:1 on the tires
Obligatory dirty foam wheel picture:
Tips before:
Paint before ( the phone camera did not like the Scan grip light so I used the Maxxeon LED light for the afters* )
Looks okay, right ?
Wrong:
total of about 45 mins later ( excluding wash )
Yes, I wiped the residue from next to the plate
Please note, this product does NOT contain fillers. The abrasive technology is pad dependent and using different types of pads will net different results.
Thankfully the wool pad did not leave any marring / haze / holograms.
Mike can confirm now that the car has seen daylight.
