I went to court by myself and got supervision for my last ticket. No one said shit about me having a cdl. Just like before I had a cdl.

I had cops ask if I need my license for work and they are supersized when I say no. Got a written warning with one of those and the other he just let me go.

Honestly I think this will prevail as I keep hearing it.. even coming from the RV sales guy.. :hsughlol: :ford:

My dad has owned a mobile RV service for quite a while and I’ve spent a lot of time in campgrounds. We were on the roof of a trailer one day changing an A/C unit and this 40ft pusher was trying to maneuver into the sight next to us. It was quite entertaining and I believe the driver mowed down a sapling. After that, the driver hopped out and it was a tiny elderly women. That’s when I learned that you don’t need a CDL! lol (I asked her and my dad to verify.)

On another note, I would also vote for a diesel pickup and fifth wheel. Fifth wheels tow a lot nicer than travel trailers. Plus I always find it useful to have my truck with me when I get where I’m going.

If you must get a motorhome the diesel pusher will typically ride a lot better and be a lot quieter in the cockpit than a gas front engine. Ford has a lock down on the gas front engine class A RV field. The chassis rides and handles terribly and the V10 is a high revving noise maker sitting right next to you. You can easily quiet the doghouse yourself and there are dozens of aftermarket ride/handling aides out there available.

If you go used they had some gas pushers on the market not long ago, Vortec 8100 powered. These typically also were air ride as well.

Their all just a class 8 chassis. Big heavy and expensive. Air brakes so you got to get your cdl.

I'd strongly recommend a 5th wheel to tow behind the f350 or a E series van gas job

my buddy who owns a medium duty truck repair center has an e series van based one... for all the reasons you mentioned.

the v10 just works. albeit thirsty and not a performer- but it doesn't really matter

dude drives the thing with his 4 kids all over the US like it's an airplane.
